Day 4: Why I Hate My Hometown
I hate East Brunswick at times. It's a pretty boring town... nothing interesting is around where we live and whenever people's houses aren't open, we usually end up doing nothing. It's funny. I said in my previous blog post that I love East Brunswick because of the people, but I kind of hate East Brunswick because of the people too. I need change. Talking and staying with the same people over and over again gets pretty boring for me. Going back to East Brunswick to meet up with old high school friends is pretty fun, but I always enjoy new faces and places. Oh, and some of the people just bother me quite a bit.
Almost forgot - I hate the fucking 25 mph speed limit on Fern.

Day 3: Why I Love My Hometown
A hometown is supposed to be somewhere special. A place where you can relate to and connect to no matter how long since your last visit. My hometown is East Brunswick. I've lived there my entire life. East Brunswick is a pretty boring place, but in the end, I do love it. Why, you might ask. Well for one, all of my childhood and high school friends are there. I've spent the most time with these people and no matter how long we've been apart, or haven't spoken, we still have something that binds us together. Aside from the people factor, I'm not too sure what else makes me love East Brunswick. I feel as if I had grown up anywhere else, I would have loved that hometown too, considering I would have had friends there too. I mean, there are some things that I love about East Brunswick. Like, Sandy's. I've told everyone that my one pick-me-up food is the Buffalo Chicken Pizza at Sandy's. I have yet to have a slice of Buffalo Chicken Pizza that is better than the slices at Sandy's. That little, home-y pizzeria that resembles a hall-way and resides next-door to EB Chinese, one of the worst Chinese takeout places ever, has given me so much joy throughout my lifetime. It's kind of sad that it's so important to me, but I take food very seriously.

Going out
is so crazy when it's freezing out. Last night we headed back home at like 4 am. It was snowing super hard - it looked really pretty though.
It was a nice walk, other than the fact that it was fucking freezing.

Fairytales and hypotheticals are bullshit.
So many things you're told when you're young are simply sugarcoated half-truths. Half-truths that are meant to preserve your innocent, pure mind that has not yet trekked the dark corners of this world. They're meant to keep you in this comfortable, homey bubble that can somehow dispel all the corrupt and grim things that exist so rampantly among us. Sorry if this bursts it though.
Everything in life is a game. All these self-help books, experts and such are just like the magazines that told you how to get through each of the dungeons in your favorite video game. Learning how this game of life works comes from experience. The more interactions you hold, the more mistakes you learn from, the more relationships you develop, the better you get at this game known as life.sadfsdaf

battered limbs, grayed hair and wrinkled skin.
True love is a rare occurrence; however, sometimes some of us get it right. I have come to realize that it's actually pretty important to me that I find my ideal wife/whatever. How amazing would it be to have an unconditional, undying, unwavering love? I really hope I'll live long enough to have battered limbs, grayed hair and wrinkled skin with someone I truly love, going on our 50th anniversary, in a little, cozy home in some random, insignificant place.

Gym
So funny. Now that it's a New Year, everyone is making new years resolutions. Went to the gym today. It was so crowded. So many new faces trying to get in shape. All they do is take up much needed space, considering they're all so round.
It's okay though. They won't be there anymore in like a week.

Today I went for a run. Ran about half a mile and then my chest started to hurt. Walked back home and ate.

New Year!
New Years is really interesting, because unlike Christmas or my birthday, I can actually feel a bit of significance/difference around the day. Just looking at the clock at the bottom-right of your screen and seeing 1/1/2011 evokes such an odd feeling. New Years is supposed to be the time where everyone gets a new slate. A time for new beginnings and new doors to be opened that may lead to unimaginable, amazing things. People seem to augment this chance of bettering themselves by making different new years resolutions and goals. From making more friends, to being more open, to trying harder in school, there are so many ways people are so bent on changing themselves for the 'better' once a new year begins. It's funny though considering most of these people give up before January ends.
New Years Day is definitely really cool though. It means an entire year has passed. It's a great time to look back, reflect, reminisce on the last year yet look forward, predict, anticipate the things that are coming this year. You can notice how you've grown and matured or how you've fallen and regressed. Personally, I don't really feel like having a New Years resolution this year. Other than beating the shit out of Brian.
But hey guys. It's 2011. Just reading that induces such an ethereal feeling.
